Woodlands Volunteer Event

Sept. 11, 2010 10 a.m. to Sept. 11, 2010 1 p.m. at Daisy Field parking lot

Please join us for our September Woodlands event!

When: Saturday September 11th, 10am-1pm

What: Remove invasives and woody material from the meadow!

Where: Daisy Field parking lot near the intersection of Jamaicaway and Willow Pond Road (map) We encourage utilizing public transportation or carpooling as parking is limited, the nearest public transportation stops are:

  1. Take the Green Line E train to Heath Street - Walk south on South Huntington (same direction the trolley was going) and take a right on Byner St., which turns into Willow Pond Road after crossing the Jamaicaway.
  2. Take the Green Line D train to Brookline Village - Walk west on Station Street, take a left onto Washington which will merge into Rt.9 ("turn" left onto Rt. 9), turn right onto Pond St., walk by Leverett Pond on your left, and then turn left onto Willow Pond Road.
  3. Take the 39 bus, (You can also pick up the 39 bus near the Heath St. stop), get off at Bynner St, and walk down hill to the parks.

Bring: The Emerald Necklace Conservancy will supply tools and training but we ask that you provide your own water, snacks, and sun screen.
